Spagbowl is a cozy takeout gem nestled in the heart of London’s EC3M district, offering a delightful Italian escape through its expertly crafted pasta dishes. Specializing in hearty, satisfying meals, this spot is perfect for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors on the go or a quick yet fulfilling lunch.
The menu highlights classic favorites like the richly comforting Spaghetti Bolognese, featuring spaghetti pasta lavishly coated in a slow-cooked, savory mince meat sauce that feels like a warm culinary embrace. If you favor something with a bit more kick, the Penne Arrabiata delivers a vibrant, spicy tomato sauce infused with fresh basil and chilli—a perfect balance of heat and herbaceous freshness. For those who enjoy a creamy indulgence, the Penne Carbonara shines with crispy bacon enveloped in a luxuriously cheesy and velvety sauce, offering a delightful depth of flavor that lingers on the palate.
Other standout options include the Spaghetti Molina, where tender chicken strips meet spinach, garlic, chilli, and olive oil to create a dish that’s both hearty and invigorating. And for a touch of elegance, the Farfalle al Pesto wraps bow-tie pasta in a fragrant Italian classic pesto, balancing fresh basil, garlic, and pine nuts—each bite bursting with vibrant, green goodness.
While the food is undeniably the star of the show, Spagbowl’s intimate setting with just a handful of seats can feel snug, as Nik Speller, a loyal customer, notes: “You have to love this place, if only for the sheer mountain of food you get for your money. It’s a monstrous (and delicious) bowl of spaghetti, covered in a well-stewed bolognese sauce. The only issue is that there’s very limited space—about three seats—so if you don’t have a desk nearby, you might struggle to eat.” This testament speaks volumes about the generous portions and memorable flavors that draw patrons to Spagbowl time and again.
Whether you’re in a rush or soaking in a quick lunch hour, Spagbowl’s vibrant pasta creations provide an authentic taste of Italy that’s both comforting and bold. It’s a place where generous portions meet genuine flavors, making it a must-visit for pasta lovers seeking a delicious, no-fuss meal in the city.

The pizza was a bit thick and chewy but the spaghetti was delicious, possibly too large a serving of spaghetti but that's better than too little!
